Yup, that's my first puppy Dingo and me in that picture. He is now 4 years old and is one of my favorite models.

I started making wire art and chainmail because of a couple different factors. The strongest of which was my involvement in the SCA during my late high school years. I made several chainmail shirts and had lots of extra wire laying around after I abandoned the SCA for a job to pay for college. During college in which I recieved a electronics type bachelors degree, I also had a lot of wire laying around. It is little wonder that I subsequently started dabbling in wire art. I had never heard of any others doing this until I started giving my pieces away to friends and family, but I have since taken intense interest in Alexander Calder and I really admire his wire sculpture "Elephant" c.1928.

A couple years ago I my interest in making chainmail rose again following several queries from a friend seeking some instruction on how to make it. In my search for places to buy wire I ran across The Ring Lord. The Ring Lord's chainmail forum had artists that just amazed me, and I had to see if I could learn from their accomplishments. Too many from there helped me to mention them all by name, but those that guided me the most to help me find my artistic niche were: Spider, Zlosk, David Austin, Dreamseeker, Lorenzo and Steelweaver

I'm also interested in long distance cycling. Here is my review of a recent 200 mile ride.
